What We Feed

We use Wildology climb because it is a very clean food. What do I mean by clean? Well, it does not have fillers like peas, legumes/lentils, potatoes, barley, wheat, meat byproducts, soy, corn, BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene), ethoxyquin, artificial colors, propylene glycol, or/and corn syrup. Wildology is probably one of the best dry cat foods we have found on the market, thus far. I am happy with it's quality and the fact that my cats thrive on it.

The reason we feed dry cat food

  1. Dental health: Dry cat food can help remove plaque and tartar from a cat's teeth, promoting better oral health.

  2. Convenience: Dry food is non-perishable, can be left out for free-feeding without spoiling, and is easy to store and measure.

  3. Cost: Dry food is often more affordable than wet food and can be more cost-effective for feeding multiple cats.

  4. The cats: They go to it when we are not feeding wet food which gives them the chance to "graze" as they need it.

We have multiple types of wet food we use, it really all depends on the cat or kitten. Some of our cats and our kitten like Fancy feast, while other want something more refined to the palette. So for these cats and kittens we also have Tiki Cat. For the pickier cats and kittens we have Stella & Chewy on hand. For our kittens and pregnant queens that are in need of high calorie wet food, we have Tiki thrive and Tiki mousse. Our adult cats and out pregnant cats get a mix of everything else on this list as well to ensure their digestive systems are used to everything. (Mainly because my pregnant queens tend to eat just about anything and even after their kittens are ready to be weaned, they can out eat the kittens)

Wet Cat Food

  1. Hydration: Wet cat food has a high moisture content, which helps keep cats well-hydrated and can be especially beneficial for cats who don't drink enough water.

  2. Protein content: Wet food often contains more animal-based protein, which aligns with a cat's natural diet as an obligate carnivore.

  3. Easier to eat: For older cats or cats with dental issues, wet food can be easier to chew and swallow.
