The biggest reason we offer DNA testing on our cats/kittens is to give the client and their veterinarian to have a better health reference with the kitten that is going to a client. Genetic testing is powerful technology, but it is important to work with your veterinarian to interpret results, especially when making medical decisions. Misinterpretation or over-interpretation of results in the absence of appropriate context and knowledgeable counseling can be problematic. You can also talk to your to us at any time about the results, as we do understand them very well. We do suggest that anyone who does get their kitten's DNA tested give the results to your veterinarian so that they have it on hand and can refer to it to help if the kitten does get sick. It gives the veterinarian a reference sheet for what we, as a breeder, have sold the client.

The only reason we have made this an option is because we want you to have the choice. To us, we think it is a very good idea. At one point I offered the test in our pricing. But as of current issues in our economy, I have had to drop my prices. SO the DNA testing has gone back as an option. We are sorry for any inconveniences this cause.
